This matte painting took me a couple of weeks to complete.
I wanted to create something that looks like it could have been taken straight from a classic fairytale, yet still be somewhat realistic.
The castle is inspired by the beautiful castle Neuschwanstein in Bavaria. I created the forest using digital trees from Xfrog.
This gave me complete control over the forest, so I could complete it according to my sketch.
